Lago Puelo Navigation + Río Azul Viewpoint + El Bolsón Artisan Market + Laberinto Patagonia

Departing from the northern main port of Parque Nacional Lago Puelo, the navigation lasts approximately one and a half hours, sailing through the magnificent bays along both shores of the lake. The outbound route follows the southern shoreline to the western end, where you can see the landmark marking the border with Chile, before returning along the opposite shore.

On the way back toward El Bolsón, in the heart of the Andes, you’ll find Loma del Medio, a lower mountain formation that is home to the Río Azul viewpoint. This strategic spot offers a beautiful panoramic view of the river’s winding course as it flows into Lago Puelo. From here, you can also spot Cerro Tres Picos in the distance and enjoy a frontal view of Cerro Piltriquitrón.

The artisan market is an iconic highlight of El Bolsón, where the legacy of the 1970s hippie movement blends with local art and organic production. It’s an ideal place to connect with the region’s culture and creative spirit.

In El Hoyo, while strolling through native forests with stunning views of Cerro Pirque and Cerro Plataforma, you’ll suddenly encounter the largest labyrinth in South America. With 2,200 meters of pathways and living hedges, and nine different entrances challenging visitors to reach the center—only one of them correct—the labyrinth is a powerful symbol of the spiritual world, representing alternative paths and life’s crossroads. Walking through it can also be an invitation to self-discovery.

Day 3

Breakfast at the accommodation. Departure to El Maitén to enjoy a ride on La Trochita. After midday, visit to Bodega Patagonian Wines, including a wine tasting and a picnic with regional products. In the afternoon, visit to Puerto Patriada on Lago Epuyén. Return to the accommodation in El Bolsón. Dinner at the accommodation.

La Trochita + Bodega Patagonian Wines + Lago Epuyén (Puerto Patriada)

Traveling back in time through the Patagonian steppe is a truly magical experience. La Trochita is a historic narrow-gauge steam train with a 75 cm track, the only one of its kind still operating in the world. It began service in 1945 and remains active to this day. The train departs from El Maitén, home to its workshops and railway museum.

Bodega Patagonian Wines is one of the southernmost wineries in the world and the first established in the Province of Chubut. Here, you can taste the region’s signature varietals—most notably Pinot Noir—and enjoy a picnic featuring local products, all set within a unique natural environment.

Puerto Patriada is considered one of the most beautiful and peaceful corners of the Comarca Andina. Located in El Hoyo, on the northern shore of Lago Epuyén, it offers a serene setting surrounded by nature and crystal-clear waters.

Day 4

Breakfast at the accommodation. Departure to Trevelin to visit the Nant Fach flour mill and the Tulipanes Patagonia field. Return to the accommodation in El Bolsón.

Nant Fach Flour Mill + Tulipanes Patagonia Field

This visit is also a journey into the past, inviting you to explore a living museum where history is still in motion and the legacy of the Welsh settlers who arrived in Valle Hermoso remains very much alive. The site showcases a wide collection of items that were part of everyday life in those times, including tableware, furniture, photographic cameras, musical instruments, clothing, and various traditional objects from Welsh culture.

The tulip field is a truly unique attraction in Argentina, featuring an extraordinary palette of colors that captivates visitors not only with the beauty of its flowers but also with its stunning natural surroundings. It’s a place where you can easily spend hours mesmerized by the breathtaking landscape.
