DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN HUÁNUCO – HUÁNUCO CITY TOUR / KOTOSH / COUNTRYSIDE / TOMAYQUICHUA
Arrival at the transport terminal and transfer to the selected hotel.
Visit to the Plaza de Armas; the modern Cathedral, home to the "Señor de Burgos" (Lord of Burgos), King and Patron Saint of Huánuco; the Church of San Cristóbal, the oldest in the city; the Church of San Francisco; and the Calicanto Bridge, constructed using lime, river stones, and egg whites. Afterward, visit the Kotosh Archaeological Center—home to the famous "Temple of the Crossed Hands," dating back over 4,000 years—and view the Quillarumi rock formation. View the Pillco Mozo, the eternal guardian of the city of Huánuco. Next, head to the House of La Perricholi (a famous actress whose beauty and intelligence captivated Viceroy Manuel Amat), located in the district of Tomayquichua. Visit the Cachigaga Hacienda to sample sugarcane-based beverages. Visit the Ermita de las Pampas (Hermitage of the Pampas) and the Artisans' House. Return to the hotel.
